Middle School Math Placement Test Prep Workshop

Length: 6 weeks

Cost: 10$ per class

In this workshop, 5th graders will revise and learn all the material necessary for the 6th grade math placement exam. The workshop will help the students acquire the necessary skills in order to succeed and excel in the math exam.

Taught by Manasvi Pula; She is a current sophomore and is passionate about teaching. She received an 800 on the math section of the SAT and was placed in Algebra 1 in sixth grade after taking the placement test herself.

FREE: W1D0: 5th grade review

W1D1: 5th grade review

W1D2: ratios

W2D1: rates and percentages

W2D2: conversions (and dimensional analysis)

W3D1: Negative numbers and absolute value

W3D2: Arithmetic operations, PEMDAS with exponents

W4D1:Introduction to the coordinate plane, properties of numbers (distributive)

W4D2: Introduction to expressions and equations

W5D1: Equations in-depth

W5D2: Inequalities in-depth

W6D1: Geometry

W6D2: Data and Stats
